Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. "In issuing this volume of collected verse the publishers feel they cannot do better than quote a passage or two from Mr Frank Morton's introduction to the author's 'Beyond the City Gates', published fourteen years ago. Most of the verse there printed is included in the present volume.'I like these simple sketches because they are unaffected and sincere, because they are honest'." Hardback, with dust wrapper. Signed by author on front free endpaper. Red boards with lettering on the spine. Binding is neat and tidy. Page edges are discoloured, more at the head and fore edge. Some light thumbing. Gently handled. Pastedowns and free endpapers are very lightly thumbed and also bear some discolouration and foxing, so too are many pages throughout. This book is in fair condition. Dust wrapper has some creasing at the edges and general discolouration. Spine completely missing. Covers have bear wear and tear, especially at the corners and edges. Back cover has some markings and discolouration. Well discoloured and large chips along all edges. Due to the lack of spine we describe the condition of this dustwrapper as poor. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously; they usually present better. Signed by Author(s).
