Card Cover. Condition: Very Good. Second Edition. The Pension Trustee Guide Addresses the knowledge and understanding requirements of The Pensions Regulator. The book: - The Pensions Act 2004 introduced new requirements for the trustees of occupational pension schemes to have an appropriate amount of knowledge and understanding, to enable them to exercise properly their functions as trustee. Reading this book will ensure trustees understand the law and regulations relating to trusts and pension schemes generally, and the principles relating to scheme funding and scheme investments. In addition, it will enable them to appreciate the key documents relating to the scheme (or schemes) for which they are a trustee. "You will find this book highly readable. I recommend it as a valuable overview of a subject that seems to get more complicated all the time." David Willetts MP Formerly Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions. "A clear guide to what is becoming an increasingly complex area." Graham Durgan Chairman of the Emile Woolf Group. "A refreshingly easy to read and comprehensive guide to all of the Trustee Knowledge and Understanding requirements." Wayne Phelan. Managing Director, PS Independent Trustees Limited. "This is a well presented, easy to follow, practical guide to trustees of pension schemes on their many and complex duties. I thoroughly recommend it."
