The author, a former member, provides a unique first-hand account of the society's bizarre and hypocritical practices. From pompous and nonsensical preaching to strict dress codes and a compl…ete aversion to the outside world, this book exposes the bizarre underbelly of Quakerism, revealing the yawning gulf between the society's supposed virtues and its actual behavior.
