My Fair Lady (1956): Mulhare took over the role of Professor Henry Higgins from Rex Harrison and went on to play the part for over 1,000 performances. The Devil's Advocate (1961): He starred as Giacomo Nerone in this production, which ran in 1961. Mary, Mary (1961): Mulhare also appeared as Dirk Winsten in this play in 1961.
