Former owner's name at top of front wrapper - Dr. [Stefan] Munsing. Marek Zulawski (1908 in Rome 1985 in London), was a Polish painter, graphic artist and art historian who settled in London in 1937. Between 1926 and 1933 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under professors Felicjan Kowarski and Karol Tichy at the same time as his cousin, Jacek Zulawski. In 1935 he won a scholarship to study in Paris; then in 1937 he moved permanently to London. There he fraternized with other Polish artists, including Feliks Topolski, Halima Nalecz, Marian Szyszko-Bohusz and the Themersons. Initially he was influenced by Post-Impressionism, but after the war he refined his own style, employing a simpler form and a more muted palette. His subjects included still life and figurative art such as Chrystus z Belsen 1947, Tancerz 1957, etc. Stefan P. Paperback. Condition: Near Fine. Offprint from Museums Journal Vol. 61, No. 3 December 1961; 8 pages; Contents clean and unmarked in original self wrappers. This offprint contain an asticle by Stefan Munsing on the American Museum in Britain - Claverton House in Bath. Included is a typed letter on American Museum in Britain letterhead to Munsing from the museum's director Ian McCallun (signed) thanking Munsing for his help in organizing an American Costume exhibition. The American Museum in Britain is based at Claverton Manor, near Bath, England, in a house, designed by Jeffry Wyatville and built in the 1820s on the site of a manor bought by Ralph Allen in 1758, replacing the manor house built by Ralph of Shrewsbury around 1340. The museum was founded by two antique collectors, an American, Dallas Pratt (August 21, 1914 May 20, 1994) and a Briton, John Judkyn (1913 July 27, 1963) and opened to the public for the first time on July 1, 1961. The exhibits cover American history in form of period rooms from circa 1690 to 1860 with space for exhibitions on more recent events and topics. Stefan P. Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Joint Interagency Task Force-South (JIATF-South) is well known within the U.S. Government as the "gold standard" for interagency cooperation and intelligence fusion, despite its preference for keeping a low profile and giving other agencies the credit for its successes. It is often cited as a model for whole-of-government problem-solving in the literature on interagency collaboration, and other national security organizations have tried to copy its approach and successes. Despite the plaudits and attention, the way that JIATF-South actually operates has only received superficial analysis. In fact, few people actually understand why JIATF-South works as well as it does or how its success might be replicated. This study attempts to fill the gap in knowledge about JIATF-South as a model for crossorganizational collaboration. It traces the evolution of the task force from its roots in the "War on Drugs" in the 1980s, through its original manifestation as Joint Task Force-4 in the early 1990s and its later reinvention as Joint Interagency Task Force-East (and still later, its renaming as JIATF-South), up until the present day. It then examines how JIATF-South actually works with the help of 10 organizational performance variables taken from organizational and management research on cross-functional teams. Investigating JIATF-South's performance through these different organizational lenses, and weighing the importance of each variable in light of JIATF-South's historical experience, yields a compelling explanation for JIATF-South's stellar performance. The results contribute to a better understanding of interagency teams and help answer the pressing question of whether successes like JIATF-South can be replicated elsewhere in the national security system.
