VG: discoloration to the cloth at the head of the rear from an old stain, limited to the externals; snag to the head of the spine (slightly unsigh…tly but no real loss); solid hinges & joints; clean text and plates with a small spot of loss to the lower right margin of plate 12 (see images); a pencilled signature to the front pastedown, either "J.C." or "J.L."
