Hardcover. Profusely illustrated. (illustrator). 3rd impression. GOOD book, no DJ. Tight. NEAR FINE inside; 2 fold out maps, 16 captioned tissue guarded color plates & about 50 duogravures. Flaws: (1) front cover castle scene quite nice BUT: rest of cover wit minor scuffing, soiling & wear, (2) both inner hinge papers cracked, hinges still sound, (3) first map with a 3" fold line tear. No other flaws, spotless text, plates * map. All three text block edges quite bright. No loose pages, book tends to stay closed when stood on its spine. 8"x5.5", 405pp. GOOD book, no DJ. TEG. Attractive front cover castle scene.
