Soft cover. Condition: Good. First Revised Edition. A large softcover measruing 7-3/8" by 9-5/8" and containing 120 internal pages, not including 16 splendid full-page photographs in black-and-white. In addition to the photographs and numerous illustrations and figures, contents include: A Visit to the Abbey with the Late Dean Bradley, The Architecture of the Abbey, The North Transept, The Nave, The South Transept, The Choir, Chapel of St. Benedict, The South Ambulatory, Chapel of St. Edmund, Chapel of St. Nicholas, Chapel of Henry VII, The North Ambulatory, Chapel of St. Paul, Chapel of St. Erasmus, Chapels of St. John the Evangelist, St. Michael, and St. Andrew, Chapel of Sir Edward the Confessor, Dean's Yard and the Precincts, The Cloisters, The Chapter House and Its Surroundings, and The Painted Glass. Condition: the pages are age-yellowed due to paper stock used (the photographs are printed on glossy white paper and are in excellent condition); the front cover shows narrow chipping along the right edge, small corner chips, and short tears and small chips to upper and lower outer spine edge area; crimping to the upper right corners of the last several pages. A fragile but eminently readable copy.

Paperback. Condition: Poor. Somewhere between poor and fair is the condition. The book is sound and complete including the advertising, but has one loose plate laid in. Covers have shelf wear and some toning from age, crease at lower right, spine ends are partially loose from the text, from about 2" at top to 4" at bottom with loose section between, some corner wear or turned corners. I don't find any markings in the book. ; 1918.

Gilt top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are age-toned and foxed; the fore edge is deckled. Very good condition text block, square and tight and mostly clean and with 21 full colour illustrations with tissue guards. Some of the pages have light foxing and the end pages are a little tanned. Overall condition very good minus due to condition of boards.s Without jacket.
