Loose as issued in original printed wrappers and green cloth clamshell box designed by the artist, 11 3/8 x 17 3/4 inches (28.89 x 45.09 cm). Limited Edition, number 8 from an edition of 74 plus 20 proof copies. [29] pages illustrated with 13 color etched and lithographed plates, each signed in pencil and dated (88-90) in lower margin by Murray. Etchings measure approx. 150 x 105 mm and face a letterpress poem by Waldman, each signed by the poet in the lower margin. The publisher's seal is embossed in the lower margin to the right of center. Printed on custom hand-made paper in England, each sheet (11 3/8 x 17 3/4 inches) is watermarked with the signatures of the artist and the poet. About the Artist: Elizabeth Murray (1940-2007) was an influential American artist known for her bold, colorful, and abstract works that pushed the boundaries of traditional painting. A pioneering female artist in the predominantly male-dominated art world of the 1970's and 1980's, Murray's work has been featured in major museums, including a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2005.
