Front cover has been detached from the book and was taped to the spine by the former owner. Spine also has a gouge at top missing. Otherwise, this old book is full of great genealogy information. This book is basically a report giving the list of names of soldiers in all the various New Hampshire regiments, companies, including heavy artillery, providing their residences, dates of muster and general remarks, all pertaining to the Civil War. These remarks include mentioning whether killed or died of disease, desertion, mustered out, etc. Fair condition but full of historic information. (PM) "N"ew Hampshire.

No date, circa 1879-1881. Card measures 5 1/8" x 3 1/8"; paper measures 7 3/4" x 10 3/8." Card reads: "Yours always, Natt Head, Governor." Card, paper, and signature are all very clean and intact. Nathaniel "Natt" Head (1828-1883) was a Republican politician, military officer, and construction material supplier. Head served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1861-1862 and was Adjutant General from 1864-1870. Head also served in the New Hampshire Senate from 1866-1867 and later became the Senate's President pro tempore. Head was Governor of New Hampshire from 1879-1881. Signed by Author(s).
