Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. A relatively new immigrant group in the United States, Cambodians arrived in large numbers only after the 1975 U.S. military withdrawal from Southeast Asia. The region's resulting volatility included Cambodia's overthrow by the brutal Khmer Rouge. The four-year reign of terror by these Communist extremists resulted in the deaths of an estimated two million Cambodians in what has become known as the "killing fields." Many early Cambodian evacuees settled in Long Beach, which today contains the largest concentration of Cambodians in the United States. Later arrivals, survivors of the Khmer Rouge trauma, were drawn to Long Beach by family and friends, jobs, the coastal climate, and access to the Port of Long Beach's Asian imports. Long Beach has since become the political, economic, and cultural center of activities influencing Cambodian culture in the diaspora as well as Cambodia itself. This book is a unique reference tool for anyone interested in the detection and location of various inhomogeneities in semiconductors such as variations in impurity concentration, resistivity, diffusion length, and surface recombination velocity. These inhomogeneities, which are significant in the fabrication, operation, and reliability of semiconductor devices, have diverse causes that range from crystal imperfections to intentional doping. The author provides a comprehensive overview of the topic by classifying the inhomogeneities according to their type and material, then detailing their effects on electrical properties. This book also offers theoretical and experimental analyses and reviews of measurement techniques that can be used to detect these inhomogeneities, making it suitable for both the researcher and the practicing engineer. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
