DJ has drink mark and 2 inch sealed tear on top. Also, there is a 1/2" open tear on front and 1/4" tear along top and spine (does not effect title). Book has some light soiling, slight shelf wear and previous owner's inscription, otherwise very sturdy and clean. Letter "A" appears on the copyright page and same date appears on the title page and copyright page. 14 illustrations, with color frontspiece. Re-told by John Martin from "Child's Christopher" by Williams Morris in 1895. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
