"I often think of old Hawthorne (county seat of Mineral County, Nevada - Grutt had served there as sheriff) and the pleasant years I spent there. I am coming back next summer for awhile at least.Regards to my friends in the Court House." Eugene Grutt came early to Rawhide and had a big part in the development of the town and major stakes in several mines. With a carbon of his associate's typed response, five lines, and "Everybody here about the same as usual". Three pages on three sheets, plus one page carbon. In Fine condition.
