Du plus grand intérêt pour l'histoire de l'Alsace, on y découvre quantité d'anecdotes ou d'études, par exemple sur le prix de exécutions à Colmar au 18ème siècle, le séjour en Alsace de quelques hommes célèbres (Erasme, Voltaire, Rousseau, Casanova, etc.), le choeur de l'église de l'hôpital de Colmar, sur le siège de Colmar par les suédois, les mésaventures d'un chasseur en 1733, etc. etc. Etat satisfaisant, une forte coulure d'encre ou de poids ayant anciennement affecté fortement les marges de l'ouvrage (essentiellement la marge du premier plat et les marges de la première année), les fragilisant fortement et les détruisant parfois, mais n'affectant pas le texte.
