Undated but believed around 1812, rebound in brown calf to marbled boards, gilt bands to spine, gilt on red label on spine, new eps. 410 pages of the Herbal including 51 hand coloured illustrations, 317 pages of the 'Medical Part' including 7 anatomical , hand coloured illustrations and 2 indexes. A Vg copy with good tight binding. It has been well used over the years as an array of small stains and thumb prints will testify, a few small marginal tears and one slightly larger tear affecting text on p 241, still readable. Small loss to margins of one illustration.a decent copy of a scarce edition.
