Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. First Edition. A Journey to the World Underground by Nicolas von Klimius (First English Edition) Very slight spine fade to the otherwise fine modern binding. A tight copy of the original text block with very minor traces of toning. An inch wide repaired chip at the fore edge margin of page 16. Another repaired inch or so tear to bottom of page 249. First English Edition (originally published in Latin a year earlier). Rebound in recent full leather with decorative gilt to spine and covers, head and tail bands, marbled endpapers. 324pp. Lost Race novel, Hollow Earth. The story of Niels Klim's journey into the underworld. A very Important book in that it has been considered one of the earliest science Fiction Novels and the first to use the "Hollow Earth" Concept. BOOK.
