Die Behandlung archivtheoretischer und berufsständischer Aspekte, daneben aber zunehmend die Bearbeitung von Themen aus der Geschichte der Universität Heidelberg stehen für den Ertrag des letzten Jahrzehnts. Aus Anlass seines 60. Geburtstages (17.2.2007) haben Sabine Happ (Münster) und Klaus Nippert (Karlsruhe) die verstreut publizierten Aufsätze des Jubilars ihm zu Ehren und begleitet von zahlreichen Gratulanten mit diesem Band zusammengefasst.
