To achieve the objectives proposed, lemon peel extract was selected for treatment application on cotton fabric. Pretreatment was given to cotton fabric and treatment was applied on cotton fabric in standardized concentration of lemon peel extract with exhaust and pad dry cure method. Lemon peels were extracted by cold aqueous maceration. It was found that percentage yield of extract was 19.6% for lemon peel extract. Bacillus spp. were selected for the present study. To study the effect of lemon peel extract the treated samples were tested for microbial resistance actively quantitatively by AATCC-100 test method before and after washing of samples. Treated fabrics were tested for physical properties and found that fabric weight, thickness and bulk of fabric were increased while tensile strength, elongation, bending length, flexural rigidity, air permeability and moisture regain were decreased. After washing physical properties of treated fabric were investigated and found that fabric count, weight, thickness bulk and bending length of lemon peel extract.…

Para alcanzar los objetivos propuestos en el plan de investigación, se seleccionó el extracto de cáscara de limón para la aplicación del tratamiento sobre tejido de algodón. Se dio un tratamiento previo al tejido de algodón y el tratamiento se aplicó sobre el tejido de algodón en una concentración estandarizada de extracto de cáscara de limón con escape y método de curado en seco con almohadilla. Las cáscaras de limón se extrajeron mediante maceración acuosa en frío. Se observó que el rendimiento porcentual del extracto era del 19,6% para el extracto de cáscara de limón. Se seleccionaron Bacillus spp. para el presente estudio. Para estudiar el efecto del extracto de cáscara de limón, las muestras tratadas se sometieron a pruebas de resistencia microbiana de forma activa y cuantitativa mediante el método de prueba AATCC-100 antes y después del lavado de las muestras. Se comprobaron las propiedades físicas de los tejidos tratados y se observó que aumentaban el peso, el grosor y el volumen del tejido, mientras que disminuían la resistencia a la tracción, el alargamiento, la longitud de flexión, la rigidez a la flexión, la permeabilidad al aire y la recuperación de la humedad.…

Per raggiungere gli obiettivi proposti nel piano di ricerca, è stato selezionato l'estratto di buccia di limone per l'applicazione del trattamento sul tessuto di cotone. Il tessuto di cotone è stato sottoposto a un pretrattamento e il trattamento è stato applicato su di esso in una concentrazione standardizzata di estratto di buccia di limone con il metodo della polimerizzazione a secco. Le bucce di limone sono state estratte mediante macerazione acquosa a freddo. È emerso che la resa percentuale dell'estratto è stata del 19,6% per l'estratto di buccia di limone. Foi dado pré-tratamento ao tecido de algodão e o tratamento foi aplicado sobre tecido de algodão em concentração padronizada de extracto de casca de limão com método de cura a seco por exaustão e almofada. As cascas de limão foram extraídas por maceração aquosa a frio. Verificou-se que a percentagem de rendimento do extracto era de 19,6% para o extracto de casca de limão.
