This is the story of Uncle John or Kiyoshi Watanabe who is a Japanese Lutheran minister who was a Japanese military interpreter (he knew English) with the Japanese army in occupied Hong Kong. Knowing the risks to himself, he aided the enemy the British, Australians, and Canadians, who were in the Japanese prison camps and hospitals because he loved God and saw them as people in need. He was from Hiroshima and he lost his wife and daughter in the bombing. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
