The poet Clayton Eshleman had a long relationship with reader and collector Richard Levasseur which shows in Eshleman's often elaborate inscriptions to Levasseur and Richard's partner. The wraps are lightly rubbed & soiled with some very light foxing. [16] pages, including 8 full-page black-and-white illustrations. Very good. Of a limited edition of 750 copies, this is number 25 of 43 copies signed by Nora Jaffe and Robert Kelly on the colophon. Published in conjunction with an exhibition presented by the Open Studio Gallery at the Arnolfini Center Gallery, Rhinebeck, New York in April 1978. Painter and sculptor Nora Jaffe, who died in 1994, was largely self-taught and began showing her work in 1960. She had group and solo shows at the Museum of Modern Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Brooklyn Museum and various galleries. The male nude was a recurring theme in her work.
