A very scarce programme for the 1922 silent film 'Impulse', a "homely story of love and adventure" based upon the novel 'Her Unknown Night' by Maude Woodruff Newell, produced by Norval MacGregor. The plot follows a young woman as she endeavours to enliven her impoverished and humdrum life by going on holiday, whereupon she meets a rich man and falls in love. However, on their way home, they are in a train wreck which separates them.Illustrated with film stills throughout.This film starred Neva Gerber in the lead as Julia Merrifield; Gerber was an American actress who appeared in more than 120 silent films between 1912 and 1930. In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart, with a little light edge wear. A few handling marks to the wraps. Internally, disbound. Pages are bright and clean. Stables to the spine have rusted. Good. book.
