Hardcover. Condition: Near Very Good - Fine conditio. NOT a library discard (illustrator). First Edition (so stated). Los Angeles, California: gee tee bee, 1978. Condition of the cover is rated Near Very Good due to moderate wear at the spine ends. NOT bad -- PHOTOS UPON REQUEST. Bright and shiny. NO fading. FINE inside. NO owner's name or bookplate. NOT a library discard. NOT a remainder. A few sentences underlined on pages 6-7 only, and a few more neatly highlighted in yellow on pages 206-207 only. All other pages are crisp, clean and unmarked -- apparently seldom read. 1978. First Edition is so stated on the copyright page. Illustrated with diagram. Index. Bound in the original brown and tan laminated boards, with photo and biography of the author on the rear cover. From a Sept. 2000 review by ZoAnn Reinmuth: "5 Stars. A one book library!! I have read (and own) several art marketing books and this is by far the best one yet. It is very complete in every aspect of art marketing. The table of contents alone is 7 pages long!! Goodman starts out discussing the psychology of art collectors and how to get to understand them. This alone is worth the price of the book! Imagine knowing how to think like a buyer!! From there is covers how to promote the art, creating a marketing plan, how to design a gallery, pricing, ethics, contracts, hiring and training gallery employees, etc. The only problem - if you want to call it that - is that it reads like a text book and takes a little time going through, but the reading is easy, unlike most text books. This is a must have for gallery owners, artists, art reps and anyone interested in making a living in the arts.". First Edition (so stated). Hardcover. Near Very Good - Fine conditio/No dust jacket, as issued. Illus. by NOT a library discard. 8vo. ix, 501pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.

From the publisher: "Nursing Education in Thanatology is an excellent source book for planning thanatology courses or for integrating concepts of thanatology into a nursing curriculum. As the formal teaching of thanatology in schools for health care professionals is generally overlooked and ill-defined, many students and professionals will learn to deal with dying and grieving upon their first encounter with death. This practical book will aid educators in planned inclusion of thanatology in curriculum to insure the preparedness of health care professionals in assisting patients and/or their families during an emotionally difficult period. There are many suggestions presented for beneficial methods of integrating thanatology education into existing courses or offering thanatology as a single course for education professionals. A vital resource for inservice coordinators working with clinicians in oncology, hospital staff, and health professionals in community or outpatient health centers, Nursing Education in Thanatology is excellent reading for helping professionals working with elderly people.". Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. Florence K. Upton (illustrator). Manuscript. Ivor Novello (1893 - 1951). An important and exquisite 130 page autographed Devotional Scrapbook, 10 x 15cms. The book covers the dates March 5th 1951 (his death) to March 6th 1968, the seventeenth anniversary of his death. The scrapbook is not a blank leaved album, but a copy of the 1945 First Edition of Patricia Wentworth's poems "Beneath the Hunter's Moon". Many of these poems are love poems and many of the memorial notices have been carefully arranged to juxtapose particular verses giving declarations of love. The contents are as follows: 1. Thirty-one photo clippings of Novello, cut from various newspapers and magazines. 2. Five signatures "Ivor Novello" (two can be seen in the central images attached). 3. One signature "Olive Gilbert" (far right). Another undecipherable ( far left), possibly "Graham ******". 4. Eighty off Memorial Clippings, arranged sequentially by date and Anniversary Year. 5. One Birthday Anniversary notice. The Memorial Clippings span from the 6th March 1952, seven off for the First Anniversary, and just one off for the Seventeenth and last Anniversary (6th March 1968). There are two unsigned Obituaries pasted in. The first six column inches. The second five column inches. The only clue to the obituary writer is the phrase "I began to write about him in 1947". Of the three Novello biographies (published in 1951, 1986 & 2006), the 1951 one, by Peter Noble, comes closest. There is a four column inch clipping (undated but 1973) of the unveiling, by Sybil Thorndyke, of a Commemorative Plaque in St Paul's Church Covent Garden. On Page 70, a two column inch review of the "Salute to Ivor Novello", held at The Coliseum on Oct 7th 1951. Thirty-eight of the eighty annual Memorial tributes are signed as follows: "L". 15 off., "P.F" 6 off., "R" 6 off., "D" 5 off., "V" 3 off., "H.M." 3 off. The rest make only single or double appearances. On pp 112 and 113 here are two memorial references: "In memory of Rudi and Dancing Years" (could this be Nureyev.?). More information and jpg images on request with pleasure.
