Synopsis This book form volume III of Supplements to 'Vetus Testamentum', a quarterly academic journal covering various aspects of the Old Testament. It contains a series of papers, in various langauges, presented to Harold Henry Rowley (1890-1969) in celebration of his 65th birthday. He was an English Old Testament scholar from the Baptist tradition and editor of the Journal of Semitic Studies from 1956 to 1960. From 1946 he led the Society for Old Testament Study as its Secretary (1946-60) and served as its president for the year 1950.
