Brown cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Cloth is worn and marked, sunned over spine with titles faded, a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine tips. Text block edges slightly toned. An ex-lending library copy with the usual, heavy, marking, and cancellation stamp. Internally pages show some signs of reading and are a little creamy with occasional marks. A good strong reading copy but less than pretty in appearance. Translated from the original Russian into English by Ernst and Mira Lesser, introduction by M A Serfeyev. A history of Russia expeditions to sail around the world.
