Plein maroquin marron avec un semis d'étoiles d…orées sur les plats et le dos, doublures et gardes intérieures en veau glacé de couleur ocre jaune, dos lisse chiffré en pied, titre or, tranches dorées sur témoins, couverture et dos éditeur conservé [la couverture et le dos sont à la date de 1927], envoi signé de l'auteur, étui bordé de maroquin, reliure moderne, facture d'une belle finesse, signée « [Hélène] ALIX », exemplaire à l'état de neuf. L'UN DES RARES EXEMPLAIRES IMPRIMÉS SUR PAPIER JAPON RÉSERVÉS À L'AUTEUR, seul tirage en grand papier. UN ENVOI AUTOGRAPHE signé de ROUSSEL sur la garde blanche à l'un des comédiens de la pièce, NUMÈS FILS, dans le rôle de Léonce. Roussel réécrit à la plume un dialogue de Léonce de la page 216 : « Léonce Ah oui ! Et quand les deux coupables passèrent, enlacés, près du pilier qui le cachait, il tua net Achille Magès d'une balle tirée à bout portant à Monsieur Numès fils très pittoresque créateur de Léonce souvenir reconnaissant Raymond Roussel Mai 1927 ». BIEN COMPLET de sa brochure de 12 pages intitulée : « La Critique et l'Auteur de La Poussière de Soleils », qui fait souvent défaut. La pièce fut montée pour la première fois sur la scène du théâtre de la Porte-Saint-Martin le 2 février 1926. La musique de scène était signée de Marius-François Gaillard, la mise en scène de M. A.
