This copy has been rebound in green cloth, with new end pages, and letters in gilt on the spine. As is normal most of the pages have browned. There is a very interesting article "History of the… Settlement of Swedes in North Dakota" (p. 247-308) by Myrtle Bemis. The last section is "Indians" and is only pages 685-727. Included is "A Boulder Outline on the Upper Missouri: by A. B. Stout; "The Story of Corn Silk, An Ancient Mandan Legend" by O. G. Libby; "Some Ojibway Legends" by Rev. J. A. Gilfillan; and "How the First White Man Came in America by Little Duck.

Beede and to the secretary of the State Historical Society the various portions of the narrative that follow. Each scout gave that special portion of the whole with which he was most familiar. " An important addition to any Custer collections.
