First published by Plantin in 1579 (without the illustrations), the work was later edited by Francesco Mezzabarba of Milan in 1683. Adolph Occo was a physician, philosopher and archeologist who established helped Roman numismatics as a field. Zu sehen ist der Gelehrte, Numismatiker und Mediziner Occo (1524-1606), seit 1572 Stadtarzt in Augsburg, bekannt auch für seine numismatischen und archäologischen Interessen. Zu sehen ist er hier mit pelzbesetztem Mantel und Kette, in der Hand hält er seine Handschuhe. - Gering gebräunt, etwas knittrig, Oben, rechts und unten mit schmalem weissem Rand, links leider bis ins Bild beschnitten.
