Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First edition hardcover with dust jacket, published by Bobbs Merrill, 1954. Illustrated by Harry Lees. 192 pages, 5-7/8" X 7-7/8". The dust jacket is intact and has been protected with a clear, removable cover, it has been price clipped at the bottom corner of the front flap though. Red-orange colored cloth covered cover boards, with the title and author name imprinted on the spine and front cover panel in black. Cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or creased, no edge wear. There are some slight age tanning spots to the front and back paste-down and flyleaf pages. Ten full page illustrations by Harry Lees, as well as several smaller illustrations through the book. Edges of the text block are clean. Binding is tight and square. This is not a library discard copy. The attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
