in-8. 10ff. 174pp. Demi-veau, dos lisse orné (reliure de l'époque). Edition Originale de ce traité de pédiatrie et d'éducation physique des enfants, publié par souscription et dédié à la reine Amalia de Grèce, première reine de la Grèce moderne, qui venait de monter sur le trône. L'auteur était un médecin militaire, professeur de chirurgie à l'Université d'Athènes fondée en cette même année 1837. Rarissime impression d'Athènes où l'imprimerie ne fut introduite qu'en 1834. A la fin de l'ouvrage figure la liste des souscripteurs, permettant d'évaluer le tirage de l'édition (environ 600 exemplaires). Très bel exemplaire, très pur, enrichi d'un envoi autographe en allemand de l'auteur à un certain "Professor Heine".
