A very nice ex-Library copy with usual stickers and tape on front cover and title page, otherwise appears unread, without flaw. This is the story of early travel to the Bowen Island holiday resort. In 1921 the Sannie Transportation Company began ferry service between Bowen and the railway terminus at Horseshoe Bay. The central character in the enterprise was Tommy White, who became well-known to thousands of vacationers. White coped with competitors, politicians, and the Great Depression. This book carefully documents the history of the Bowen ferry. It is a story of boats, people, politics, and romance. Signed by Author(s).
