hardcover. Condition: Acceptable. Please see the condition note after this for details, if this is missing please consider Acceptable to mean poor quality that could include major staining, water damage, writing, missing dustjacket, etc etc. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.

Published to accompany the exhibition of Onwin's work at the Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh from 8 October - 20 November 1988; and, Third Eye Centre, Glasgow from 10 December - 29 January 1989. Covers, pages and contents are in excellent condition. No inscription. "Realised over a period of five years, Revenges Of Nature is Glen Onwin's most ambitious project to date. In earlier works Onwin dealt with relatively circumscribed, natural processes in which humanity's role was marginalised. Revenges Of Nature is conceived on a global scale, encompassing both a world devoid of life forms and the contemporary deleterious effects caused by the intervention of man. The multi-layered complexity of Onwin's approach, in which micro and macro levels of activity are embodied within a single image, reflects his solicitude for a greater appreciation of the underlying unity of man and nature. We would like to thank Glen Onwin for his active collaboration in our preparations and for his valued contribution to the presentation of the exhibition. Also, we wish to express our appreciation to James Birrell who, in addition to writing a commentary on the work, has assisted with several other aspects of the show's realisation.".
