For his lasting contribution as a children's illustrator, Born was a finalist for the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2008.

Teller, Leopold (1844 Budapest - 1908) Ungarisch-jüdischer Schauspieler. Studierte zunächst Medizin in Wien, schloß sich aber 1862 in Ljubljana einer Theatergruppe an, mit der er die darauf folgenden zehn Jahre an kleineren Bühnen in: Klagenfurt, Opava, Budapest, Leipzig und Liebenstein gastierte. Von 1874 - 1890 gehörte er dem Ensemble der "Meininger" an. Hier spielte er zahlreiche klassische Theaterrollen. 1899 gab er seine Bühnentätigkeit auf und siedelte nach Hamburg um, wo er die letzten Lebensjahre als Rhetoriklehrer lebte.
