Beautifully bound in bright gilt lettered and dentelled full crushed blue Morocco leather boards, rubbed to head and tail of spine with great shelf presence, top edge very bright gilt. Great Expectations and Master Humphreys Clock with rubbing to spine. Although lacking a volume, the books present as a lovely set,no volume numbers. A previous owner and Sitwell devotee has pasted a b/w image of Edith to the front pastedown which now suffers some loss to the top. An ownership inscription reads 'H Barnes Dec 1922' to front free. 5 contemporary paper cuttings concerning Miss Sitwell dated between 1923 -1925 are pasted to rear.
