No DJ. Grained black cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. Unpaginated (the 14 chapters are all paginated by chapter. 12mo. The expansion of shipbuilding made evident that there was need of an American text book on marine engineering that would adequately explain the design and operation of all the general types of marine equipment and at the same time should be written simply. to be easily understood. This book is the result. A clean very presentable copy.

Overall, functional but rather worn and soiled. Cover has a little wear and is quite faded. Page edges soiled with much use, rear endpaper came loose at some point in time and was glued back on a little askew, are somewhat warped perhaps due to exposure to humid airbut do not show any effects of moisture. Binding sound. Fully functional.
