Book Condition: Very Good; shelfwear to head, tail, tips,… and spine shoulders; moisture stain to spine (occurred prior to the rebinding) with some penetration to pages but now warping to sticking pages. No DJ. Grained black cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. Unpaginated (the 14 chapters are all paginated by chapter. 12mo. The expansion of shipbuilding made evident that there was need of an American text book on marine engineering that would adequately explain the design and operation of all the general types of marine equipment and at the same time should be written simply. to be easily understood. This book is the result. A clean very presentable copy.
