Editio postrema aucta & repurgata. VII Bl., 986 Seiten, VIII Blatt Inhat und Index. Johannes Osorius war ein spanischer Jesuite, der sich in Aristoteles und Moral-Theologie spezialisierte. Er war Rektor eines Jesuiten-Kollegs in Soria und schrieb wohl fünf Bände mit Predigten zum Kirchenjahr, die in Sevilla, Antwerpen, Paris, Köln und Venedig verlegt wurden. Es soll auch ein sechstes Buch gegeben haben. Hierbei handelt es sich um das fünfte Buch. Das Buch beinhaltet die Predigten, die für die Messen vom ersten Advent bis Ostern und der Wiederauferstehung vorgesehen sind. Das Buch weist einen ordentlichen Satz mit Verweisen auf den Seitenrändern auf. Die anderen Bände (nicht enthalten) behandeln unter anderen die übrigen Termine, konzentrieren sich auf Viten der Heiligen oder schlagen alternative Predigten vor. Rot gefärbter Ganzschnitt. Mit Rest eines Schließbandes. Bei Anton Hierat unter dem Einhorn erschienen. Der Pergamenteinband ist geprägt, die Motive sind noch ansatzweise zu erkennen (Wappen des Jesuitenordens: Iesus Homuinum Saluator). Der Einband weist einen leichten Wurmbefall auf, wovon der Buchblock allerdings unversehrt blieb. Mit Ausnahme der beschriebenen Mängel befindet sich das Buch in einem zeitgemäß sehr guten Zustand.
