Leather. Condition: Good For Age. No Jacket. This is an all-in-German collection of Sunday sermons, written and given by distinguished Christians, with a focus on those concerning ailing faithful. Cover is in good condition for its advanced age, presenting with expected rubbing/fading with age and some wearing of leather (small divets on both front and back cover). Text is largely tight in binding, but splitting and separating is clearly observable (especially for first third of book); handle this copy accordingly, keeping in mind its age and state of binding. Text is clean and free of blemishes throughout, save for relatively small amounts of foxing, throughout. No other markings or indications of note. Due to the size of this book, additional shipping charges may apply. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Condition: Very Good. Quarter dark brown polished calf and mottled paper boards. Gothic German text throughout. Previous owners' notes to first free page with dates from 1835-1840, otherwise no other markings or names. One signature standing proud. Wear to boards and age of leather has caused several cracks and small losses to leather (see image). Occasional spotting and some toning to pages throughout. [viii], 872 pp., 240 pp., [8]. 7 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches.
