L'ouvrage est entièrement monté sur onglets, et imprimé sur un papier à fort grammage. Planches à deux ou quatre sujets. L'un des plus beaux témoignages iconographiques sur l'Indochine du début du XXe siècle. Petite attaque de ver en pied de é feuillets (préfaces anglaise et allemande), deux serpentes manquantes. Chaque planche est introduite par un texte de présentation figurant sur la serpente correspondante. Les légendes sont en français, anglais et allemand, et les titres également en cambodgien.
