An important little book, being Padraic Mac Pairais's first published book of short stories. Pearse was Chairman of the Provisional Government in Ireland, signed the Proclamation of the Irish Republic, which he read publicly on Easter Monday, 25 April 1916 outside the Government Post Office in Dublin.
