No Binding. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 26 cm. 4 pages (one sheet folded). A rare and early publication of the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co., which is better known as today's A & P grocery chain. This edition of Holiday (perhaps one of two known) is most important because of its early publication of "A Visit from St. Nicholas" on the front cover. This early version of the poem with several archaic elements (e.g. "Dunder and Blizten" instead of the often anglicized Donner and Blitzen). Pages two and three are additional Christmas poems while the back page is devoted to the Company and lists the number of stores (around 60) and prices for tea ("Oolong.best $0.70 per pound"). OCLC lists the periodical, albeit without locations.
