Church at lower fore-edge (minor lifting to fore-edges of image, slight dustsoiling), still a VG exemplar. An original mounted silver gelatin photograph depicting a Hall…Motor Co. 1920's Packard Motor Co. wrecker, with advertising painted on the side panels & tow bar with phone number, "Day and Night" service, as well as motto of "Our business is picking up." This Packard wrecker had been modified as a steam car, with a short steam dome mounted atop the boiler, steam pipe running alongside the boiler, and bell affixed to the top with connecting wire to the driver. Hall (1897-1964) worked for a local farmer following World War I, and then opened Hall Motor Co., a local service garage and towing service which survived into the Great Depression, when Hall became a postmaster in Enterprise. Church (1906-1982) was son of a successful Enterprise, OR farmer who would operate his own photo studio from the 1920's until well into the 20th Century.
