First edition thus. 12mo., xiii, (i), 14-216 pp., with 12 plates (two folding). There are childish pencil scribbling on the table of contents, and on 3 of the plates. Original binding of pale blue cloth with the original paper label affixed to the upper board. The paper label is lacking about 1/3 of the paper and the titling is rubbed and faint. A good or better copy of a scarce Confederate Imprint. Translated from the French by Thomas Robert Bugeaud de la Piconnerie. Parrish & Willigham 4748.
