Contact seller5-star sellerQuarter-bound black cardboard binder containing 32 pp. printed manuscript, three-hole punched, with pages housed in plastic sleeves. Introduction by Gerrit Henry. A narrative essay by the American artist Darragh Park accompanied by 20 color reproductions of his works. Park discusses his approach to painting and contextualizes th…e works within: "When I began exploring the graphic implications of trying to paint what we can never really see full-face, as it reveals itself in the actions of perception, I knew right away that what would be required was painting which would attempt to produce what James Schuyler once termed 'the perfection of the unachievable.'"? The binder and manuscript were gifted to the poet Ron Padgett and his wife, Pat Padgett, and an autograph title card on the spine of the binder reads "for Patti and Ron 2.2.05 from Darragh." Near fine manuscript in a very good plus binder.
