Los contenidos aquí propuestos han sido seleccionados con el propósito de poder reducirlos a los más fundamentales y esenciales. Por dar un ejemplo, los triángulos han sido introducidos como líneas polígonales cerradas constituidas por tres segmentos. Entre estos, los que tienen dos segmentos iguales se han llamado isósceles, y entre los isósceles hemos llamados equiláteros a los que tienen los tres segmentos iguales.
