Seller: OldBooksFromTheBasement, Maryland Heights, MO, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. The exterior of this VG- book is square with one big flaw--the rear board and the spine have a brownish stain: the spine is affected at the rear gutter for an area of 1" x 1/2"; the rear board has an area of about 2" x 2" with several much smaller areas of this stain (see photo). The interior looks almost new--it is free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and any sort of paper damage. Hinges are strong and the paper is still quite flexible. Also, the front panel applique is quite dramatic and is in good condition.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. The exterior of this VG- book is square, clean, with practically no wear to the lower edge; edges are not dinged and corners are not bumped, but head and heel of the spine are lightly bumped, without fabric damage. The interior is very good--it is free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and any sort of paper damage. The paper is still quite flexible; rear hinge is quite strong but the front hinge is just a tad bit loose--not serious but should not be misused.

Seller: OldBooksFromTheBasement, Maryland Heights, MO, U.S.A.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. This VG- book looks pretty good. It has a slight lean, all four lightly bumped corners with no fabric damage, and mildly bumped head and heel of the spine with a slight fabric tear at the heel. The bottom of the front board has a small area of darker stain, visible only at certain angles. The rear board has a small area of fabric ripples (see photo)-it is at the fore edge and about 1-1/2" long. The interior has no writing and no page damage of any sort; it does have some finger print smudges and stains in the margins on perhaps as many as 15 pages. Also, the front end pages have, at some point, torn over a part of the hinge and have been reglued. Paper is rather stiff but not at all brittle.
