Complete copy with half-title frontisp., 30 full-page engrv. plates, 4 fold. charts, and 4 fold. land-forms at end. Some offsetting of the plates with mild foxing around edges, but generally a nice copy. 1st edition. With both the book-plate as well as the signature of J. Cresswell, Lieut. S.G. Cresswell was an officer (1850-1854) of H.M.S. Investigator, the first ship to complete the north-west passage.
