Condition: Good. 2008 signed and inscribed first edition, Paul T. Reano (Huntington, Arkansas), 6 x 9 inches tall paperbound, [14], 306, [13] pp. Slight rubbing and edgewear to covers. Minor bumping to lower tip of front cover, with a bit of 'cover curl' to that tip and slight creasing to the lower page tips throughout the volume. Nicely inscribed and signed by the author on the title page. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce family history / and pioneer history of Sebastian County Arkansas, lacking a referenced 'Appendix CD' with family trees but otherwise complete. ~TTT~ A history and genealogy for the Reano and Stroud families, following the author's great, great paternal grandfather Giacomo Felippi ('Jake') Reano as he arrives in America in the late nineteenth century, through successive generations. Contents: Preface; Acknowledgements; Migration from the Homeland; The Journey to America; Arrival and Reaction: the Ellis Island Experience; Traveling to Sebastian County, Arkansas; La Famiglia in America at the Turn of the Twentieth Century; Living in the Coal Mining Camps; Hardships and Heartaches; Dominic and Lena Reano; The Melting Pot Heritage; Spanning the Generations; Afterword; References.
