The book was a collaborative effort between the North Carolina Geological and Economic Survey, the State Audubon Society, and the North Carolina State Museum. It systematically catalogs 342 species and subspecies found within the state. Features 17 original text illustrations by a young Roger Tory Peterson, who would later become one of the most famous names in birding. 416pp.CONDITION: Light shelf wear.
