Early, major, possibly only monograph of the leading designer of the Wiener Werkstaate. VG, with a little wear to the boards at the spine hinges, and the extremities and edges of the boards.
Ausgabe auf stärkerem Papier und ohne der typogr. Beschriftung.- Dagobert Peche (* 3. April 1887 in Sankt Michael im Lungau, Österreich-Ungarn; ? 16. April 1923 in Mödling) gilt als der Ornamentiker, der immer die geeignete Form fand und dem erstarrten Kunsthandwerk seiner Zeit neues Leben einflößte. Aber zu voller Entfaltung gelangte seine Begabung erst, als er 1915 von Josef Hoffmann (1870-1956) zur künstlerischen Mitarbeit in der Wiener Werkstätte herangezogen wurde. Bekannt wurde Peche für seine Liebe zu zweckbefreiten manieristisch-verspielten Objekten, überzüchteten Luxusgegenständen sowie seine kapraziöse Einfallskraft, die seinen Gestaltungen zugrunde lag.
