First edition signed "With my best wishes - Helena Pelzel" on the half title page, Very good light blue cloth hardcover with pink letter shows quite a bit of foxing to covers, rubbing at cover edges and bumping to corners, light soil at page edges, browning at half title and page opposite from something being laid in and some other light trace wear, in very good - dust jacket (price at flap) showing rubbing and edgewear that includes closed tears and open chips. 254 pages nicely illustrated with some in color. Still a pleasing signed copy of this ".stirring picture of peasant life in Bohemia and of the irresistible urge to migrate to the New World.".
