This catalogue states that the president is Herbert Read, and the Penwith Society was founded in memory of Borlase Smart.As this issue has 10 on the front cover, I suspect this is the Tenth exhibition of the society, four being held every year from 1949 when the Penwith Society started exhibiting. …
